A time in which we are still very dependant on emotional support. I revisited my review on this book and I am giving it 2 stars. #15 VuFindSearch\Command\CallMethodCommand:execute in /usr/local/vufind/module/VuFindSearch/src/VuFindSearch/Service.php:110 #16 call_user_func in /usr/local/vufind/module/VuFindSearch/src/VuFindSearch/Command/CallMethodCommand.php:114 #17 VuFindSearch\Backend\Solr\Backend:search in /usr/local/vufind/module/VuFindSearch/src/VuFindSearch/Command/CallMethodCommand.php:114 #18 VuFindSearch\Backend\Solr\Backend:rawJsonSearch in /usr/local/vufind/module/VuFindSearch/src/VuFindSearch/Backend/Solr/Backend.php:133 #19 VuFindSearch\Backend\Solr\Connector:search in /usr/local/vufind/module/VuFindSearch/src/VuFindSearch/Backend/Solr/Backend.php:162 #20 VuFindSearch\Backend\Solr\Connector:query in /usr/local/vufind/module/VuFindSearch/src/VuFindSearch/Backend/Solr/Connector.php:211 #21 VuFindSearch\Backend\Solr\Connector:trySolrUrls in /usr/local/vufind/module/VuFindSearch/src/VuFindSearch/Backend/Solr/Connector.php:287 #22 VuFindSearch\Backend\Solr\Connector:send in /usr/local/vufind/module/VuFindSearch/src/VuFindSearch/Backend/Solr/Connector.php:402 #23 VuFindSearch\Backend\Exception\HttpErrorException:createFromResponse in /usr/local/vufind/module/VuFindSearch/src/VuFindSearch/Backend/Solr/Connector.php:462 #24 VuFindSearch\Backend\Exception\RemoteErrorException in /usr/local/vufind/module/VuFindSearch/src/VuFindSearch/Backend/Exception/HttpErrorException.php:68 VuFindSearch\Backend\Exception\RemoteErrorException thrown with message "500 Server Error" There’s Chloe’s opinionated, strong-willed mom, Madeline, a charmingly imperfect Everywoman. Weir’s writing style as usual is engaging and entertaining, with a mostly good balance between scientific explanations and character development (although I did find myself skipping some of the science waffle toward the end of the book). As he starts to explore his surroundings, Grace realizes that he is on a mission to save the Earth from an environmental disaster caused by a spacefaring micro-organisms and that he may be the last hope for humanity. It’s a simple premise used time and again in movies, but not so much in novels. Ryland Grace is a reluctant hero / scientist who wakes up on a spaceship with two other very dead crew members and no memory of who he is or how he got there.
